# Points

> Earn points through trading, quests and referrals.

Points represent user progression inside OceanX.

They are earned through platform activity and contribute to rewards, tiers and leaderboards.

## How to earn points

Users can earn points through:

* Trading volume on eligible products
* Daily quests
* Referrals

Additional point sources may be added in the future.

## Lifetime points

Points are currently lifetime based.

This may change based on community feedback.

## Tiers

Points determine your tier in OceanX's rewards system.
