# Predict

> Trade prediction markets on real-world events from inside OceanX.

Predict brings prediction markets into OceanX: trade positions on real-world
events — politics, sports, crypto, culture — without leaving the platform. Available
at [oceanx.trade/predict](https://www.oceanx.trade/predict).

Markets are sourced from Polymarket, and trades are placed on Polygon with your
OceanX wallet.

  **Beta.** Predict is in beta testing. Expect changes, and treat limits and
  behaviour as provisional while testing continues.

## Browsing markets

The landing page groups markets by category, and each market has its own detail page
with price history and current odds. Related markets are collected into **events** —
an election or a tournament, for example — so you can see a whole outcome set
together.

## Trading

Pick an outcome, enter a size, and confirm. Positions are collateralized in USDC on
Polygon and appear under your positions once the trade settles.

  Predict settles on **Polygon**, not Solana, so it uses a different balance from
  your Solana trading wallet.

### Where do the markets come from?

Polymarket. OceanX presents them and routes your trade; resolution follows
Polymarket's own rules for each market.

### What do I need to trade?

USDC on Polygon in your OceanX wallet.

### Does Predict earn cashback?

No. Cashback currently applies to memecoin trading fees only — see
[Fees, Cashback & Referrals](/getting-started/fees-cashback-referrals).
