# Creating an Account

> Sign up, verify your email and create your OceanX trading platform.

Creating an OceanX account takes less than a minute.

OceanX uses embedded wallet infrastructure, allowing users to get started without installing browser extensions or manually managing seed phrases.

## Create your account

    Visit OceanX and enter your email address to begin.

    OceanX sends a verification code to your email. Enter the code to confirm ownership of the account.

    Add a secure login method. Passkeys are recommended where supported.

    Once verified, OceanX provisions your trading environment and embedded wallets.

## Wallet creation

When your account is created, OceanX initially provisions:

* One Solana wallet
* One EVM compatible wallet

These wallets are noncustodial and controlled by you.

## FAQ

### Do I need a browser wallet?

No. OceanX uses embedded wallets, so you do not need to install a browser extension to start.

### Can I still use external wallets?

External wallets are possible, but you need to import your existing wallet seed phrase into OceanX. OceanX does not support browser extension wallet connections at launch. Onboarding is built around auto provisioned embedded wallets.

### Do I need KYC to create an account?

No. Most OceanX products do not require KYC. Some partner products may require verification.
